Back to work from 15th June
(19th Jun 2020)
We are safely back to work offering home appointments and hsopital and care home clinics as of 15th June 2020. We have a detailed COVID Standard Operating Procedure in place to protect our patients, dental teams and hospital and care home staff and although the range of treatments we can offer is currently restricted, we can still provide a good service within a reasonable time.
Looking forward to welcoming existing patients back and to meeting new patients - if you are having difficulty accessing dental care please give us a call and we will do our best to help.
Care Home Clinics - Dental Triage
(24th Apr 2020)
We have written to all homes participating in our regular dental clinics – first, to say that we send our best wishes and much admiration to all of you during what must be a very challenging time.
Given that we operate to very strict cross-infection protocols and equip our dental teams with all the PPE needed safely to carry out their work, we hope it won’t be too long before we can resume dental clinics.
In the meantime we would like to offer you an anytime telephone triage service for residents experiencing dental pain or other issues. Please feel free to call us on 01304 842995 Monday to Friday between 09.30 and 17.30 and email us on enquiries@themobiledentistcompany.com at weekends and out of hours. We will arrange for one of our dentists to call you back as soon as possible and can also use Skype to view the patient if you have this facility.
All we ask is that a consent form has been completed and sent to us in respect of any patient needing triage. In the case of patients we have not seen before, please email us a completed consent form at the time of enquiry.
The dentist can prescribe antibiotics if required, or appropriate dental products and advise on pain relief or any other actions which may assist the patient until they can be seen. If an urgent appointment is required, it should be possible to refer the patient to the nearest NHS emergency dental care hub.
We hope to support you as much as possible until things get back to normal so please do call us if you need help or advice.
Celebrating our first year on the road in Kent!
(9th Sep 2013)
From Bromley to Deal, via Canterbury, Sevenoaks, Sittingbourne, Tunbridge Wells and all points between we have been providing our mobile private dental service throughout Kent for a year. Thank you to all our patients, caring families and supportive care homes.
Changes to our Pricing
(3rd May 2022)
From 1st May 2022, as well as increasing prices to reflect inflation across the board and in particular in relation to fuel costs, we have altered the way we charge for appointments. A call out charge of £80 now applies to all visits, in addition to a separate fee for examination or treatment. Previously, the call out charge was incorporated into the cost of some - but not all - appointments and we feel that this had the potential to cause confusion. We hope the new system will be more transparent for our patients and families/carers.
Dentist for the Day!
(26th Jan 2022)
New for care homes in 2022 - if you are not yet ready to commit to regular dental clinics, or would like the chance to experience a clinic in action before deciding, why not try our "Dentist for the Day" service?
Book one of our dental teams for a full, or half day and we will attend to as many residents as we are able to in the time allowed. It's a great opportunity for care home management and staff to see how the clinics operate, ask questions and get feedback from residents.

Preventive Care
(13th Nov 2013)
Having regular check-ups and hygiene treatments is the best way to maintain oral and dental health and to stop problems occurring.
When people go into residential care, many stop accessing dental care. At The Mobile Dentist Company we can provide regular preventive care through our Denplan Essentials scheme for just £7 per week, a small proportion of the cost of residential care.
Prices
(2nd Sep 2020)
September sees the introduction of our new price list - the first time that our prices have changed since 2018. We have kept increases as low as possible and unlike many practices have not charged patients anything extra for the considerable additional PPE that dental teams are using at each visit.
