2025 Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Act 2015: Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Advance Healthcare Logistics Ltd t/a The Mobile Dentist Company (AHL Ltd) is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our company, our supply chains or at any location where we provide a service.

We take a risk-based approach to assessment of suppliers that ensures greater scrutiny where we are sourcing products from higher risk countries. Where commercially viable we choose to source from countries with high labour standards. Existing supplier agreements are regularly reviewed to ensure that they remain compliant.

This statement sets out the actions we take to understand potential modern slavery risks and to put in place steps to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our company, our supply chain or location where we provide a service.

Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

Reflecting our commitment to acting ethically in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our company, supply chains or locations where we provide a service.

Whistleblowing Policy

We encourage all staff and contractors to report any concerns related to the direct activities of our company, our suppliers or locations where we provide a service. This includes any circumstances that may give rise to an enhanced risk of slavery or human trafficking. Our whistleblowing procedure is designed to make it easy for staff to make disclosures, without fear of retaliation.

We have had no reports regarding Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking during the period covered by this statement.

2025 Ethical Business Statement

Brief and Purpose 

This statement sets out how Advance Healthcare Logistics Ltd (AHL Ltd) conducts its business operations in an ethical and responsible manner.

Safety, integrity, trust and excellence are of primary importance to our business. This statement sets out some of the ways in which we reflect those values.

 Scope

This statement applies to all business carried out by AHL Ltd and sets the standards for how we expect our employees, suppliers and partners to work in the areas of governance, social and sustainability and references key policies in our business that describe how we operate in those areas.  Governance

 Human Rights & Modern Slavery

 We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery plays no role in our business and do what we can to ensure this practice is stopped. Our statement on Modern Slavery is available on our website and our policy is available on request.

Anti - Corruption & Bribery

We have a zero-tolerance approach to bribery in any aspect of our business. We provide training and clear policy guidance on the expectations that we have of our employees and require that our suppliers take no part in any sort of bribery.

 Data Security

 Data security is of utmost importance to our business. We comply at all times with data privacy legislation and have in place policies and processes that place protection of personal data at their core. All our staff are trained in the importance of data security and we complete the NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit annually. Our Privacy Statement is displayed on our website and available on request from our offices.

 Social

 Diversity and inclusion

 We recognise the benefits that come with having a diverse and inclusive business that reflects a diverse set of backgrounds and ideas. We have a zero-tolerance approach to any sort of discrimination within the workplace and this is reflected in our Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Policy, which applies to all patients, staff, clients and contractors.

Pay and benefits

We believe in paying our staff and contractors fairly and working flexibly wherever possible. We pay our staff at a rate above the National Living Wage and do not use zero-hours contracts.

Charitable donations

 We support the dental charity Dentaid and have also donated dental products to clients and contacts involved in charitable outreach projects overseas.

We support Circus Starr, a charitable organisation which transforms, enriches and inspires the lives of children and families who need it most across the UK, through the art of circus performance.

To help promote sport and health, in the community where our office is based we sponsor a local rugby football club.

 Employee engagement

 Our small, much-valued team is encouraged to come forward with feedback and ideas to help the business develop. In our specialised field of mobile dentistry, we have always aimed to minimise barriers between clinical and non-clinical staff and build a team where each member feels able to use their voice. Staff members are based in different areas of the country and are able to use local knowledge of dental need to help shape future projects. We also welcome staff indicating a wish to move/change or develop their role within the company.

 Training

 We recognise the importance of training and learning, not only for required CPD but also for the personal development  and confidence of staff members. We provide online training for all employees and the practice manager and registered manager work together to identify training needs and source appropriate courses. Once every year we bring our staff together from all over the country for a day of in-person training in, for example, breakaway techniques, trauma-informed training, emergency first aid, learning disability, dementia and gerodontology.

 Health and Safety

 We prioritise the health and safety of our staff, patients and clients. We have a detailed Health & Safety Policy and provide training to all our staff in relation to the risks associated with their role and how to risk assess the locations they work in.

 Environmental

 We have a comprehensive Environmental & Sustainability Policy covering the following areas: Energy, Equipment & Supplies, Waste and Travel.

Current Energy Saving Initiatives

We are obtaining quotes to replace the office lighting with LED bulbs

We have upgraded both vans to be ULEZ-compliant and will look to upgrade to electric vans once the charging network is more comprehensive and reliable

We are recycling all of our printer ink

We are minimising use of single-use dental instruments

All paper waste is being recycled
